I didn’t go back to the wrong person and took a trip to Eastern Europe instead

When I was 35 years old, I was single and lonely. More specifically, I ended a marriage when I was 29 years old and then I was single for 6 years. For some time, I was thinking about going back to my ex. But fortunately, my mentor and I took a trip to Eastern Europe together and completely changed my mindset.

  • My ex is a period, whereas the rest of the world is a question mark.

“The reason you are thinking about going back to your ex-partner is because now you remember the positives when you were with him,” says my mentor, “Don’t forget the negatives that he brought to you when you were married to him. Those are the fundamental reasons why you can’t be with him anymore.”

Yes, leaving my ex-partner was the hardest decision that I have ever made in my life. But the fact that I left him in the end means I am brave enough to do what’s right for me.

Life is short, so I should do what’s right for me. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

So, my mentor and I took a beautiful trip to Eastern Europe, and we had a good time there. Indeed, my ex-partner is a period now, while the rest of the world is still a question mark for me to explore and experience. Isn’t this exciting?

a trip to Eastern Europe
  • Looking forward to the future….

This trip to Eastern Europe has taught me so many valuable and enlightening things. My mentor introduced me to her mentor from 20 years ago. We tried European cuisines in upmarket restaurants. We met a large number of interesting people who expanded our outlook. We bought new and unexpected books from unique bookstores.

Having new experiences gives me new insights into love and life. I’m looking forward to a compelling and promising future that excites me every single day right now.

My past is already a period, whilst the rest of the world is a stimulating question mark. I’m very passionate about exploring each question mark in this world. Curiosity is my best friend from now on.

“Eastern Europe has the best restaurants and cafes in the world, according to my extensive travel experience.”
