UKRAINE

Ukraine has a wide variety of tourist attractions for you to visit. This guide will show you exactly what to do and where to go!

Ukraine

Ukraine is a big and beautiful country.

In fact, it is the largest country in Europe and has a range of ethnic groups. When you visit Ukraine, you could be partying on the beach in Odesa, having the best coffee in Eastern Europe while exploring the Carpathians in pursuit of Hutsul celebrations. Few countries have a population as diverse as that of Ukraine, which includes various ethnic groups in Kyiv’s business district, Gogolesque farmers in Poltava, Hungarian-speaking bus drivers in Uzhhorod, and Crimean Tatar cafe owners almost everywhere.

Visitors discover that Ukrainians are, when given the opportunity, one of Europe’s most open-minded and hospitable people. If you become Ukrainians’ friend, you’ll soon be eating Ukrainian cuisine at someone’s place, listening to the life story of a fellow train passenger, or being given a spontaneous tour of a town’s attractions by the person you asked for directions.

What to do:

  1. Discover Kyiv

The first stop on any trip to Ukraine must be Kyiv, the nation’s capital, where you can check out Independence Square and numerous churches, including Saint Sophia’s Cathedral.

  1. Observe Lviv’s architecture

Take a stroll through this city of cobblestones, stop by St. George’s Cathedral, attend a performance at the Lviv National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater, and explore Mountain High Castle for a lovely vista.

  1. Be romantic in Odesa

Visit this romantic old city at the shore of the Black Sea. It is called the “pearl” at the sea. It’s a lovely city to spend a weekend with a romantic partner or simply enjoy the sea, no matter which season you choose.

  1. Take a Chernobyl Tour with a companion

Chernobyl, famous for the nuclear accident that occurred there in 1986, is now a fascinating ghost city that you can explore for a day or two.

  1. Take a walk through the Carpathian Mountains

Nature enthusiasts adore the stunning landscape of the national park. Visit Synevyr Lake, which was created as a result of an earthquake.

When to come:

The most favorable months to visit Ukraine are May to September because it gets very cold there in the wintertime. In July and August, Ukraine has a large number of tourists every year. Therefore, maybe you would be well-advised to go to Ukraine during these months: May, June and September for a less crowded experience.
