An international tourist’s take on which idea to entertain when you have too many ideas

As an international traveler who traveled the world, I can confirm that people from different cultures have different ways to choose their ideas!

I’m an artistically expressive person, and that’s why I always have a lot of new ideas. I know that creative people often come up with too many great ideas, so sometimes they struggle to decide which idea to select.

In Eastern cultures, people choose ideas with the help of their analytical mind.

When I was in Thailand, I saw so many people working to their bone because they were working long hours & they were working extremely hard for low pay. In general, people in Asia are very hardworking. When they choose an idea, they want to know whether an idea requires them to level up & work in a field of their genius and mastery. Otherwise, they wouldn’t bother. Also, they tend to choose ideas that create financial resources and generate prosperity because they are very practical.

Realism is paramount in Eastern cultures. When I was an international tourist in Asia, I noticed that Asian people tend to be very smart and analytical.

In Western cultures, most people choose their ideas based on their creative mind.

Earlier this year, I was an international tourist in Europe. I made some new friends in France, Italy and Spain. All of these people have something in common: They are very interesting! An Italian friend told me that he only chooses ideas that deeply move him – ideas that he is willing to commit to & devote himself to its completion. A Spanish friend says he needs to know whether he is wholehearted in his commitment to an idea. If a lick of half-heartedness exists, he wouldn’t consider that idea. According to a French friend, only when he is pretty sure that an idea brings him unspeakable joy, expansion, and satisfaction would he choose that idea.

As I see it, it’s better to find the balance: we should be analytical and creative in the right ways – why not combine both approaches while choosing ideas?

An example –

Take Karen as an example. She currently works in footwear retail. Her best friend asks her if she wants to become a teaching assistant at school as she was an educator previously. Because Karen isn’t interested in working in schools anymore, she would rather be a retailer. More importantly, Karen has a natural connection with shoes and fashion, so she has decided to do footwear retail in the long term. Karen has chosen what makes her happy (the creative mind). Meanwhile, she knows that being a teaching assistant in a school isn’t a stable job as that’s probably not going to be a permanent full-time contract, whereas being a retailer gives her more stability in the long run (the analytical mind). Clearly, balance is so key.

In a world that is both diverse and interconnected, the capacity to learn from different cultures and adapt their wisdom to our own lives is invaluable! As an international traveler, I have not only experienced the beauty of various societies but also gleaned insights into their decision-making processes. These lessons have enriched my own perspective and approach to idea selection! So, embrace the transformative power of travel, for it has the potential to reshape your worldview and illuminate the boundless array of choices that await. Being an international traveler shows you many things about the world and changes your world view in many ways. Let your journey begin! Travel simply with simply travel and see how your life changes.
