My dream Seychelles holiday

Seychelles is a tropical paradise. Indeed, it is relatively affordable; meanwhile, it is a luxury paradise island getaway for me. My Seychelles holiday was absolutely amazing.

  • All beaches in Seychelles are public by law.

I stayed in an Airbnb and was able to go to any beach because all beaches are actually public by law. This experience was so freeing.

Also, I rented a car which cost 60 Euros each day. I explored other islands – there are boats to Praslin (only one hour) & La Digue (only 20 minutes from Praslin). Lots of fun! Note that Praslin is the 2nd biggest island of Seychelles.

Seychelles is well-known for its beautiful jungle. The beaches in Seychelles are the best that I’ve ever seen. (I’ve visited many countries and been to a lot of beaches, so I can confirm that Seychelles definitely has the best beaches in the world, hands down.)

This country isn’t over-developed. As a result, it’s still quite natural.

What’s more, I could enjoy a really good holiday there for pretty much the same price as a standard city break in America or Europe (excluding the flights). My Seychelles holiday was very exciting because it’s a combination of exploring nature, having a good time with my friends and saving some money – it wasn’t too expensive. Yes, it was a unique experience that I will cherish forever.

  • Tourism in Seychelles:

In Seychelles, tourism is a very important industry. Basically, the economy in Seychelles consists of two components: plantations and tourism. Obviously, the plantation economy can only expand so far, whereas the tourism industry is able to bring more revenue.

The government of Seychelles encourages foreign investments to upgrade hotels as well as other relevant services. Therefore, new resort properties and real estate projects are making this country a better place nowadays.

Of course, the government has recently decided to reduce the country’s dependence on tourism through promoting the development of fishing, farming & manufacturing.

Interestingly, Seychelles only has approximately 130,530 people & most of them are considered multiracial, i.e., blending from European, Asian and African descent to build their modern culture today. I tried the local food during my Seychelles holiday – The Seychellois food incorporates different elements of English, French, Indian, Chinese and African cuisine.

“Because the islands of Seychelles had no aboriginal population, Seychellois descend from those who moved to this country. The biggest ethnic groups are people of African, French, Indian & Chinese origin.”
