International travel: Meeting new people for an amazing network

If you are not in your 20s anymore, people might judge you a bit more regarding your fashion, your job, your income, your lifestyle, your social circle, etc. Of course, you can say, “I don’t care what other people think about me.” That’s totally fine. But I’m not in my 20s anymore, and I do care about what I’m doing and what I’m learning. In order to expand my outlook, international travel has become an important part of my current lifestyle. If you are not in your 20s anymore, people might judge you a bit more regarding your fashion, your job, your income, your lifestyle, your social circle, etc. Of course, you can say, “I don’t care what other people think about me.” That’s totally fine. If you haven’t found your tribe yet…

Loneliness is a taboo topic that we can’t really talk about in our culture. When was the last time you felt lonely? When was the last time you told someone else that you were lonely?

Research shows that loneliness is the untold pandemic nowadays and it’s just as harmful as smoking when it comes to health. Hence, if you do feel lonely, I highly encourage you to work on your social skills and meet new people.

Interestingly, international travel is a great way to meet more people because when you have the tourist’s mindset, you are more open to new experiences and new conversations with complete strangers. You tend to talk to the barista at the coffee shop. You ask for directions in the street. You ask the waiter for recommendations at restaurants. You become friends with other tourists.

What’s more, you can also go to networking events or attend professional conferences where you will meet people that can help you improve your career. Personally, I have done that in several countries and the results are amazing because I always create win-win situations for everyone that is involved.

Be sure to dress well because what you wear teaches people how to treat you.

This is something that people don’t want to talk about often as nobody wants to sound like a superficial person. But as a matter of fact, you have to dress well if you would like to attract high-quality people into your life – you need to let people know that you respect yourself, so they also must respect you – and this is communicated to them via your fashion under the radar.

International travel has given me many opportunities to upgrade my closet: I’ve bought some very interesting and stylish clothes from various countries. Every time I go out with people socially, they always comment on what I wear, so my fashion has become a conversation starter which is the easiest way to meet people and connect with them.

If you are a sophisticated guy, you probably don’t want to dress like a high school boy. So, it’s time to evaluate your wardrobe and figure out how you can further upgrade your fashion and advance your style.

“How many new people do you bring into your social circle every year? Where do you meet them?”
