I’ve been a creative online entrepreneur since 2001. We all know that running a business isn’t easy, so a lot of people have asked me how I’m able to travel each year as a busy business owner. So, in this article, I’m going to share with you my secret sauce. 😉

Abundance is a mindset.
Yes, I’m very busy, but I still manage to find time for at least one international trip every year because I strongly believe that abundance is a state of mind.
I don’t hang out with negative people who complain about busyness and stress. Personally, I only connect with positive friends who share joy and happiness whenever I interact with them.
Here is the truth: When I’m communicating with someone that is happy and optimistic, I let my body fully feel their joy. I imagine being connected with that positive person on an energetic level, through my body. I allow their amazing energy to enter my energetic field.
This exercise is called repatterning (it helps me to repair what didn’t work for me in the past). It is wonderful because here are my findings:
- My upbeat friends’ positivity rubs off on me. 😊
- Their beautiful energy helps me reframe what didn’t work out in my reality because now I have a new way to explain what happened.
If you still don’t believe the effectiveness of repatterning, you may have a look at this example:
While you are watching a very engaging movie, you might cry when the story is sad and laugh if the story is hilarious. The story influences how you feel dramatically because its energy changes your energy.
Likewise, people around you influence how you feel about yourself as well. Therefore, it’s very important to surround yourself with good people! Collective experience is real!

How to actually break out of time scarcity:
My philosophy is to eliminate things that don’t need to be done. For instance, my family and I don’t do gift giving anymore (we just share joyful experiences together). I don’t wear makeup anymore (I only do my eyebrows and use some tinted lip balm if I have an important business meeting). I only have 2 bags and a small closet (I don’t need to worry about what to wear each day because I’ve built a capsule wardrobe).
As to my international trips, I simply travel with one small luggage – simplicity is the best.
I choose to do less because I prioritize what truly matters. I delegate tasks so that I can have more free time. I eliminate tasks that don’t even need to be done!
“I work hard when I’m not on holiday; I enjoy my international trips fully when I have time off for myself.”
