How a trip to Paris changed my lifestyle

Paris is also known as the City of Love. Recently, a trip to Paris has fundamentally changed my lifestyle in a really good way! 😊

  • My favorite places in Paris:

I love traditional French dishes, so L’Ami Jean in the 7th is my favorite address in Paris. It’s a small bistro, but it’s so cozy.

When I was in Paris, I stayed at the Hotel Duc de Saint-Simon which has the most impressive interior design and decoration.

The best thing about Paris is seeing so many relaxed people and experiencing so many relaxing things. Everywhere I go in Paris, I can see people spending quality time in cafes and enjoying life with family & friends because they are not busy with busyness, which is very different from what I’m used to in the United States. Also, hotels in Paris have a laid-back vibe and most of them look like beautifully decorated Parisian homes rather than typical hotels.

While I was in Paris, I definitely worried less because the entire environment has a calming ambience. A great example is I was wearing less makeup when I was in Paris because Frenchwomen wear very simple makeup – a lot of them only wear a tinted moisturizer and lip balm. In contrast, living in the United States means I tend to wear more makeup every single day: foundation, mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadow, mascara, lipstick and lip gloss. Now I prefer striking a balance, so I only wear a tinted moisturizer, mascara and lip gloss – I believe it’s a pretty good way to combine the chic French look and the modern American style.  In terms of fashion, nowadays I keep fewer pieces in my closet and always make sure every piece is of high quality. That’s why I don’t buy lots of clothes from Kmart anymore. 😉

  • A trip to Paris helps me to maintain a healthy and happy mind.

Previously, I thought working on my mindset should be all about reading books and attending seminars or workshops. But after a trip to Paris, I have realized that fashion and beauty can significantly influence my mindset as well. Let me explain.

Grooming is paramount because it boosts external confidence which directly influences how I feel, thereby boosting my inner confidence immediately under the radar.

I met a fashion stylist in Paris who taught me the importance of fashion and beauty. This isn’t just about looking good. It’s also about feeling positive, confident and excited. Feelings and emotions are of vital importance because the emotional brain makes decisions first and then we often use the logical brain to justify the decision later.

“The Parisian lifestyle is very empowering and enlightening.”
