Finding your passion can sometimes feel like a challenging journey, especially if you’re not sure where to start. For an international traveller, discovering what truly excites and motivates you often comes from stepping outside your comfort zone and experiencing new places, cultures, and perspectives. Travelling the world opens up endless opportunities to explore different interests and, in the process, learn more about yourself.
As an international traveller, I’ve been to many countries and experienced various cultures. I’ve noticed something interesting: people who have found their passion are happier, more charismatic and more successful in general, no matter which country/culture they come from—it’s a universal fact. Indeed, if you are not doing what you are passionate about, the sadness is sub-communicated no matter how hard you learn communication skills. Therefore, finding your passion is paramount.
Be aware of what you are doing when you are in the flow state.
When I’m writing a blog article or an eBook, I’m always in the flow state, especially if the topic is interesting. Clearly, writing is my passion. I’m very lucky because I can write whenever and wherever I want – I’m an international traveller with a laptop.
Now I’d like you to ask yourself this question: What makes you lose track of the time?
Write down your answer honestly, e.g., knitting, painting, dancing, reading, watching TV, etc. These activities don’t have to be commercially viable at this stage. Just write down everything that makes you lose track of the time. This is the brainstorming stage. Also, even if what you are interested in isn’t profitable, you can still do it as a hobby. Remember: You don’t have to monetize every interest.
As an international traveller, notice what you invest in financially.
Apart from traditional financial investments such as properties and the stock market, do you invest in any activities such as singing karaoke and buying fashion magazines?
Now we are going to identify what you spend money to do. This is the area that you are willing to invest in because you find it truly enjoyable.
Personally, I spend money to buy books because my writing is always inspired by what I read.

Find out what you are curious about right now.
If you still haven’t figured out your passion yet, you’ll love the final question that you can ask yourself: “What are you curious about right now?”
You can start from your curiosity. Maybe you are curious about social skills, then it’s time to learn something about human dynamics. Perhaps you are curious about travel—it’s time to be an international traveller. Do something about what excites you.
“When you are passionate about what you do, you attract high-quality people to your life.”
