10 happy things about a trip to Spain

This year I took a trip to Spain. My family and friends keep asking me to write an article about this trip, so I’m listing 10 happy things about my time in Spain right here.

  • 1. Churros

These are Spanish doughnuts that I absolutely love, love, love! I don’t eat sugar very often, but when I go on a trip overseas, sometimes I try some desserts & I can confirm that this is my favorite!

  • 2. Fashion

My trip to Spain is best characterized by daily shopping. I hadn’t bought anything for myself for a very long time, so I decided to treat myself when I was in Spain. I went to many stores and bought skin-care products as well as makeup that I will use on a daily basis. More importantly, I enjoyed buying clothes from Zara and Mango – wonderful styles!

  • 3. The beach

The beach that I went to in Spain is the most peaceful and relaxing place that I’ve ever been. I lived in English-speaking countries for such a long time, so I can feel the difference in Spain: Even the beach feels calmer in the Spanish-speaking world because the Spanish culture makes people relax.

  • 4. The Mediterranean climate

Spain is characterized by the Mediterranean climate which is so comfortable. It’s never too hot or too cold.

  • 5. Music

Dancing to the music in Spain is very energizing. I went to a party where I danced for hours without feeling tired. Spanish music is exotic and uplifting.

  • 6. The prices

After living in Australia for almost two decades, I find the prices in Spain really amazing. Pretty much everything is cheaper in Spain. That’s why I bought a lot of jewelry during my trip as well.

  • 7. The social atmosphere

Spanish people are the friendliest people that I’ve ever met in Europe. I’ve been to most European countries, and I can tell that people in Spain are really nice and helpful. In contrast, most people in a lot of Northern European countries are relatively cold.

  • 8. Spanish wine

I don’t drink alcohol very often, but occasionally, I would have a glass of wine (maybe once or twice a year). I had a glass of wine during my trip to Spain because a friend of mine recommended Spanish wine to me. It was truly amazing (especially with seafood).

  • 9. Spanish coffee cocktail

This is so different from the standard coffee that I used to drink. Spanish coffee cocktail’s rum and cream are divine and delicious because they are the perfect combination.

  • 10. Tapas

Who can say no to tapas? These beautiful snacks from Spain are the highlight of my trip. I can’t resist them!

“The quality of life in Spain is really impressive; Spain is a secret paradise.”
