I believe that feeling good is my job because it’s my responsibility to ensure that my emotional state is okay – I’m 100% responsible for my own happiness and joy. I don’t expect anyone else to look after my emotional state because I’m an adult. My favorite way to keep my emotional state positive is to travel the world, so as a freelancer, I live a digital nomad’s lifestyle.
- The importance of my emotional state:
Looking after my emotional state is probably the most paramount thing that I can do because mental health is important.
I prioritize the health of my emotional state, so I don’t let it slip to the bottom of my to-do list.
When I start each day by raising my own vibration, the ripple effect is real. I can see life becomes more fun, much easier and so much more magical on a daily basis.
In fact, I was made redundant by an employer when the economy wasn’t amazing – the organization that I worked for was permanently closed – everybody was made redundant. At that time, I actually felt inspired to make bold and beautiful choices: I decided to pursue what I always enjoyed doing (writing and translating) instead of looking for a new day job. Interestingly, writing and translating can be done online without a fixed business location. As a result, I started to travel the world while working as an online freelancer. In other words, the redundancy became an opportunity for me.

- How I feel influences how I interpret the world.
I strongly believe that how I feel informs how I actually interpret the world. Yes, in a universe of unlimited options, we tend to create more of what we focus on. Where attention goes, energy flows. Therefore, I’m intentional about my thoughts. Indeed, an obsession with lack or scarcity won’t create a happy life. In contrast, making joy a top priority will invite more of the same – a juicy and joyful life.
Frankly, I’m grateful for the opportunity to travel the world, and gratitude turns what I have into enough & opens me up to miracles. I come from a very unprivileged & humble background, but now I’ve made my dreams come true already. When I see life through a lens of gratitude, I instantly become present – I’m not just an observer, but an action-taker as well as a big life-liver.
When I feel good, good actions will definitely follow. That is to say, feeling good is the first step in doing good. When I make my own happiness a No. 1 priority, I set the stage for a much more vibrant and ecstatic world. Now I’m not a victim of my bad mood; I’m a creator and I have the power to change how I feel in an instant. Life is long, so pain is essential, yet suffering is optional. 😊
Feeling good gives me more energy, influence and impact than anything else. I’m not just here to dream about a compelling future; I’m creating it intentionally.
“A good emotional state is the fuel which drives me to do good in this world, to inspire change and to spread love.”
