This is a really good question. The answer is yes. Personally, I work on my laptop as a self-employed writer, so I can travel the world while bringing my laptop with me. I know many freelance writers and translators who are able to do that as well. Interestingly, due to online learning, some people study at universities online these days while going on exciting trips, too.
- How can busy traditional business owners have time to travel the world?
“I’m not an online entrepreneur or freelance writer/translator,” says Henry, “I have a traditional business and I’m too busy to do anything for myself.”
Henry is a very busy traditional business owner who has little time to smell the roses. But because he owns a traditional business, he has a team – he has hired managers and workers to work for the traditional business. The real reason why he feels busy is because he doesn’t delegate tasks to his employees enough.
I’ve asked Henry to delegate more and trust his team can do their work well. Even if his team might make a mistake or two, he should give them some time and space to learn from their own mistakes. In this way, his team can become stronger and more competent. In the long run, he will have a reliable team and an automated business.
Without an automated business, Henry has to work in the business – that has lost the meaning of having a business because that’s just like having a job.

- How can people who want to read, study and learn travel the world?
“I’m not a modern university student who can study an online program while traveling overseas,” says Michael, “I always want to read, study & learn, so I’m not sure how I can have the bandwidth to travel.”
My advice for Michael is to bring books with him while traveling overseas. Reading doesn’t have to happen at his desk in his house. In fact, it would be even more beneficial if he can read in natural sunlight, e.g., under the big umbrella on a sunny day near the beach. That will certainly help him to enjoy more fresh air and get more Vitamin D naturally.
“Don’t let busyness stop you from doing what you truly want.”
